Happy Haunting!

I'm getting very excited now that the beginning of the "Holiday's" are just around the corner...and of course that means first starting with Halloween! However, while we aren't allowed to officially celebrate Halloween at our school, we do have a unit on pumpkins, bats, and spiders. So, imagine my extreme dissapointment when I saw these darling witch broom's in the Martha catalogue, I just thought would be so cute for my kiddos to make for their parents! Well, of course my crafty assistant soon came up with the fact that we could photocopy a scarecrow and have them color it, finally attaching it to the stick...sort of making it the scarecrow's broom instead of seeming as though it belonged to a witch? Howard was puzzled and said that scarecrow's don't have brooms...but hopefully no one else will think this!

Here is some of the assembly. The kids will have so much fun putting this together!
