Call the Woofbulance

Poor Oliver, sweetest boy on the planet, but sickliest too. Good ol' Sophie hasn't ever had one issue and our dear Ollie has had more than I can count on one hand and he's not even two yet. Well his newest issue is....ALLERGIES. What kind of dog has allergies? Well apparently Weims are prone to them naturally because of their fine hair and sensitive skin. He has been licking at his paws lately but not all too much, so we just tell him to stop when he does it. Well, this has developed into close to constant licking at all four paws and now they are red because he is licking them raw. I have done a bit of research on it and it seems to be allergies from anything to grass, trees, new soaps, food...really absolutely ANYTHING. We don't know what, but I did get advice from a fellow teacher who has a Weim, also with allergies (go figure), and she told me that they can take Benadryl, and Fish oil is a great supplement to their diet to improve skin quality, etc. SO, we will see how it goes. In the meantime I am trying to keep socks on his feet, which is hillarious in itself. This morning he laid by me as I put my make-up on, socks and all, and just cried looking at me. I think he was just mortified that he was wearing ankle socks with pink toes. Poor guy, he sure is special!
