Today is a special day in history-Gram's birthday, 76 to be exact. It was the first one we weren't able to spend with her and this makes me sad. I can recall past birthdays and remember how special they always were. My mind always drifts back to the whole family around a circle table in the Oriental Room at the country club. This morning mom and Bob-Bob got a call at the office saying her gravestone was finally done...and just in time for her birthday. Aunt Kim and Uncle Scott also dedicated the day on WBGL in her memory, sadly we don't get that station in the Hoosier state so I wasn't able to listen. There aren't any words appropriate to celebrate such a lady on her birthday-but we love and miss her dearly down here that's one thing I can say. Happy Birthday!
(...The family back in Illinois celebrated at Rosie's in Bloomington, here are just a few pictures that were sent to me, of my cute parents and lovely cousins!)

Hello, I just read your comment on your blog about not being able to hear the Dedicate a Day on WBGL. It just so happens that I have a copy of Jeff and Pam reading the dedication sent by Scott and Kim. Unfortunately, this particular recording mentions Scott and Kim dedicating the day, and not anything else. But I can tell you that throughout the rest of the day, many times, the Dedication was fully read. If you'd like a copy of what I have, just email me, jrackow@gmail.com
