Decor & More

We cleaned and straightened the house for two days this weekend, for our second showing which was this morning. Oliver kept getting in trouble for sitting in his favorite spot in the window seat. Look at how he doesn't even care that he's smashing my pillows! It is so hillarious, he adores this "spot".

I spruced up a few areas in the home yesterday, just to add some spice to what the buyers had already seen. I went to my trustworthy World Market and picked up some fun dishes that I felt complimented the room. I'm not sure if that's an olive on the front of the little cup or not, but they were darling.

I also put together an arrangment for the table. It kind of looks mangled in this picture...!

And voila! A new table scape!

Howard also mentioned that I should start being more economical, instead of showering myself with fresh flowers each week (or every other, come on!), and that I should just put together a nice "faux" arrangement. So, I took Howard along with me and let him see the bill! More of my favorite orchids...!

So, even if this mystery person doesn't end up purchasing our home, I am still excited to have a few new fun things that make the house look more inviting!

Happy weekend!

where do you get things like that? i've looked at hobby lobby but aren't sure if they look too fake. you seriously have a talent though...everything you do in that house looks SO GOOD.

Miss D- It's a mixture of places...Hobby Lobby (mostly for florals), Target, TJ Home Store, World Market, and Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel (when on sale). There's a certain brand of flowers I use from HL that don't look as fakey-I wish I lived closer to go pick stuff out with you! Boo!

Everything looks great, Sar! I would buy it in a heartbeat. ; )
We spent the entire weekend straightening our home, too. Such a chore. Cross your fingers that we get a call to show it this week! Let us know how the showing went yesterday.
