My mom snapped this photo (against our wills) last time they were here to visit. We looked super happy in this picture...haha, not. It's crazy to think that we only really have today, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday left in the house...how time flies!
We have been very busy lately getting all things packed up and will be in these upcoming days as well. Let me give you the rundown here...
We have to have EVERYTHING loaded up in a U-Haul Thursday evening (bed and all, we will be slumbering on an air mattress Thursday night) because we close at 3 pm on Friday. Both of us will be at work up until then, and since he takes possession directly after we close, that leaves us no time for several moving trips. SO to sum that all up, I really have to have ALL things ready Wednesday, which is just like the day after tomorrow...haha almost comical really. However, we have accomplished a lot. Yesterday we packed up the entire kitchen except for the refrigerator (obvi)...we are now dining with paper plates, paper cups, and paper bowls...don't worry I didn't go the plastic route-I have to be somewhat enviro friendly :) I just wanted all of that DONE and out of sight, out of mind, so that I don't have to worry about it.
All we have left now to pack up is the master bedroom, bathroom, and some of the closet...I also have to tackle packing up all of the decor items today, which just conveniently don't fit in any size or shape of box...should be fun!
I also am a freak about packing because I have to wipe EVERYTHING down and it has to be clean before it goes in a box. This annoys Howard, but it will be nice to open boxes of clean items when moving into a new house...that is my theory at least. I even wrapped our stainless utensils in newswrap for fear of scratching...am I anal or what? I guess this will change upon the arrival of children someday!
Sophie and Oliver have been good troopers through all of the process so far. However, Oliver did lick part of the flea medicine off of his back when we weren't looking and drooled for an entire day...I kid you not. Glad he's back to normal now!
There probably won't be any more updates until we are all moved in because from here on out it is crunch time!
Please keep us in your prayers as we are DAYS away from such an incredible blessing for our family...we can't wait to get moved in and relax...enjoying one another more! We are praying for a smooth transaction on Friday and a fun weekend with family.
