Howard, the "Deer Slayer"

Since I'm at home, sick as a dog, I can finally catch up on a few blog posts while I'm taking breaks from the couch. I swear laying on the couch all day can really drive a person who moves around at the speed of light all day bonkers...so anyways...Howard got his first deer a few weekends ago, and here is the beauty!

He would have to tell you the story, but he sat in a tree stand from 6 am to 6 pm, and finally saw the buck walking by. He called him in and then was able to take him with a single arrow. Talented, Howie! My Uncle Scott was a big help in the steps that come after the kill...which I will not mention, ICK. And I enjoyed hearing the stories, even though he did not get home until after 1 am! Yipes!

We are excited to have a freezer full of venison and a lovely 8 pointer about to be hung on our wall. Very proud of my Hubs!
