Make-Over

So like back in July I repainted our bedroom and bath, really out of boredom, because at that point I was still waiting to find out where I would be placed for teaching. I found this great spread in the Southern Living magazine and was so inspired, that I redid our whole bedroom. The result...I LOVE it. I have always been a neutral girl, but this experience taught me to use color, but in muted tones. The pictures don't do the wall color justice, it is truly tranquil.

I don't feel like this picture does much for the room, so I apologize, but I will try to take more once I get more done. We made the headboard and got new nightstands and an armoire. I would really love to find a chair and dresser as well. Currently on a To-Do list tucked away.

OMG, seriously? Is that Sophie? I always thought you were kidding that she was a "photo hound", but she REALLY is. I almost missed her in the photo. Tell her she's got to start wearing some color so she can be more easily spotted. Love the color, btw. I am wanting to do that color in Cole's room, which he still insists is HIS room. HA!

Martha Junior! Wow ~love what you are doing to your place. We are missing our Indy soccer tourn. this weekend because a couple of the kids past swim coaches are tying the knot. We opted for a weekend at the Effingham "cabin" with friends, attending the wedding. . . but we will really miss seeing you guys in Indy!
