All Grown Up?

Sophie reached the age of one just a few months ago, so I wondered, has she grown up yet? I thought since we had moved into our new home, that I would try leaving her out of her kennel for a day (since I only had a 1/2 day of school today). I hesistated though as I picked up everything I could possibly imagine her getting in to and closing all of the doors which I didn't want her to enter in to...I couldn't help but remember all of the "fun" she had while we had been gone before when left out on her own. Hmm, let see: the chewed up changer, bible (bad Sophie!), Coach glasses (Mommy was not happy), flip flops, t-shirts, hats and the unrolled toilet paper popped into mind. BUT, I can't stand leaving her in the wire jail we call her kennel, so I left her out and hurried for the door.
Well, when I got home, Sophie had been laying in our bed-sleeping, it looked like and NOTHING was out of its place. Miracle? Perhaps. Another weird thing she had done, besides being good, was she had somehow managed to open up our closet and bring every item of clothing that we had left laying on the floor and made a nest on our bed. I can just picture her dragging each sweatshirt, t-shirt and pair of pants up to the bed one by one. THEN, I found one thing that she had done wrong. Oops. I picked up all of the clothes to throw them in the laundry basket and out fell a perfectly circular cloth shape with an "L" on it. I soon recognized that this was part of one of Howard's sacred Lincoln basketball t-shirts and knew that she hadn't been a complete angel. I had to laugh though, because she somehow chewed a perfect circle on the front of his shirt. Howard didn't think it was funny though, maybe he will after he sees this picture? She didn't mind displaying her work for this picture either, I think this was a proud moment for her!
