Surprise!

Ok, so here's our surprise...one we received this weekend. And no, I'm not preggo! JT...I know you're wishing, but I think you'll be there first :)

We have all fairly new appliances in our kitchen, MINUS the stove which is pretty big for me since I'm enjoying this new cooking thing-and this stove was an original from when the home was first built...dating nearly 24 years old.

Well, I swallowed the thought of this hideous appliance sitting in my kitchen, since after all I figured I could deal with it for awhile. Well, apparently I was wrong.

Howard and my Dad were out at Lowes, Menards, etc. on Sunday getting things for their home improvement projects when Mom and I got a call. It was the guys telling us we needed to meet them at Lowe's...hmm?

When we got to Lowe's I found out Dad had decided that we should have a new stove for an early Christmas present! Howard and I about died and are still in shock!

We still have to install our microwave which hangs above the oven, and of course do many many other updates in the kitchen-but this was a great start!
