Oliver in small places and spaces.

Oliver and Sophie follow me everywhere around the house, they even try to follow me into the bathroom-yipes! Usually they know their designated spot where they will flop down at whenever I go into a different room. For example, if I'm in the kitchen they will lay by the back door on a rug, in the sun...if I'm in our bedroom, Sophie lays on her bed in the corner and Oliver lays in the doorway so he can see what I'm doing and what is going on in the rest of the house...if I'm in the family room, Oliver lays by my chaise curled up and Sophie lays on her bed. Without fail, these spots are where they plop each time...it's like clock work. However, yesterday presented a problem, because they weren't sure where to rest their gray bodies when I went to clean in the dining room. Sadly, that is how little time we spend in that space! They walked around aimlessly, looking for something familiar, but couldn't find anything. So akwardly, Sophie laid down on the front mat, looking very uncomfortable and Oliver tried to take post on his usual stair, where he waits for Howard to get home. That however, is toward the end of the day when he has energy and enjoys sitting up looking out the windows. But, this was mid-morning, and in Oliver world that is still-sleep time. So, he was not thrilled with having to sit up on his stair, but still wanted that spot. He must have tried for 15 minutes to lay down on this stair, that was clearly way too small for his 100 pound body. He finally, somehow, managed to hoist his body into a perfect position without falling off, but really had to keep his back legs and arms on the next stair for support. Truly a sight.

These dogs are definitely all of the comedic relief I need in my life. Oh and did I mention Oliver peed on Sophie yesterday outside? Just lifted his leg and let er rip? Oh yah that was fab. Did I mention he did it AGAIN this morning? He should really have a mowhawk and skull tattoo or something...

Oh little Velcro doggies...my life wouldn't be complete without your constant neediness.
Dustin got up to go to the bathroom last night and I physically held Dino down so he wouldn't follow him. I am OVER him feeling like there is a bungee cord connecting him to us! ha!
I know I'm going to lose this battle, though...he's just a lover!
