Around the House

Lately I have been on a fresh flower kick, it really makes a room feel fancy to me! I really only like white flowers though, a trait I'm guessing I subconsciously inherited from Gram, so that can be tricky at times to find the perfect type. I'm not a daisy girl, which is very popular in the white flower world. The first flowers are called Fuji and I'm not sure about the next. They look like roses, but they aren't. They look like a buttercup of sorts, very fun.

I have also become a fan of Hobby Lobby's decorative signs that they have been selling more and more of, which are usually 50% off in true HL style. Since Hobby Lobby is a Christian store, they have lots of neat signs with some of my favorite verses on them. When I saw this one, I just couldn't pass it up. I think this sign was originally $15 and only around $8 since it was half off! Bargain!

The flowers are gorgeous! And yes, Gram really did like WHITE! She also loved Gerber daisies--though not especially YELLOW. :) Ok, the plaque--also had special meaning to Gram--that particular saying. I think she's speakin' to you girl. I used to cross-stitch sayings all over my house. Here's one I especially love:
"Home:
that our feet may leave
but never our hearts."
On the wall to the left of the desk in the kitchen :).
I love you, and will have you in my prayers tomorrow, hon.
