I'm so thrilled that the Democratic Convention has finally come to an end and that I don't have to see it being broadcast on nearly every channel. I think I heard the word OBAMA more than 50 billion million times in the past week and gosh, I'm so sick of hearing about him.
If you know me at all, you know I am a die hard Republican, so don't go talking your Obama talk to me. Ok, sure, so maybe President Bush has had a few issues during his presidency, but who are we to judge, I highly doubt most could even fathom all of what one in charge of a country goes through. The poor guy has been the brunt of a thousand jokes, is spoken harshly of by most all Democrats, and even has a television show dedicated to making fun of him. Where has the respect gone for the leader of our great nation? It sickens me.
And now, we are left with this gigantic election battle that is about to go down and I just find it silly. Both parties spend millions of dollars promoting their candidates, when hello, do you know how many families in this country you could help with the money you throw away on politcal ads or conventions? I am angered at both parties for this situation.
But anyways, I am so sick of Obama giving false promises to these niave Americans who are willing to believe that he is going to fix every problem we've ever come across and that he is the change this country needs. I watch the news every evening, and I still have yet to hear anything with much actual substance come out of his mouth. Just like a political analyst said the other evening, Obama is really great at following a teleprompter, but when he's on his own, he seems lost. Is this the kind of man we want running our country?
Oh, and please don't harp on John McCain for being wealthy, because Obama isn't exactly living in the hoods of Chicago. Please people. I can guarantee Michelle Obama is out there wearing designer duds from head to toe...oh yeah, they have an idea of what the middle class is going through.
But I really think that liking Obama is the popular thing to do, what all of the celebrities are doing, almost a trend...I know so many people my age who don't even know why they like Obama, but they do because everyone else does. Ridiculous.
But to end my rants, I will just say that both candidates are politicians, and of course they aren't going to solve every problem our country has or will have in the future. But, I will stand by and support my candidate who has the same morals and values in which I share, and has stood by his faith in God. One which will fight for religious freedom in this country, is against abortion, against banning guns, and just overall has a non-liberal view on things.
VOTE MCCAIN!

AMEN! Couldn't have said it better myself!!! Love it! I cringed for the 40 minute speech Obama gave on Thursday night....if I heard the word CHANGE one more time, man! It isn't anything of substance, just words.....so frustrating! And with the celebrities backing him up left and right.....I'm a bit nervous for this election!
