Amen and praise the Lord that tomorrow is Friday and week one of Kindergarten is over! Not in a mean way, but Kindergarten is tough at the beginning because some of these little squirts are so prepared and some are not. I'm quite the stickler when it comes to behavior, so I have barely been able to talk and/or function after the 2:35 bell rings. I am absolutely loving it and the team I work with, but I will say I am worn out...but in a good way! The worn out way when you know you're doing something that you love and you're glad to be tired because you know it's worth it! I will just be glad when these first few weeks are over and we can get into our routine and the little ones will be more settled.
I'm already starting to have favorites as well. One of my little boys, who is the tiniest thing, asks me everyday before the bus if he can have a hug. It is too sweet. He also told me that his older brother goes to "High School Musical" for school and was completely serious. Oh the joys of Kindergarten.
We are on our way to Illinois tomorrow which will be a great break away from it all. I'll post pictures from our adventure when we get back!
