Well I can report that the painting of the wood is done and I am exhausted. I sprayed the shutters black (Yessss, a great way to save $ when the housing market is rocky, instead of paying $65 for a set of two, when we would have had 3 sets to get, it only cost us $10 in spray paint!)
We still have the brick to paint, but here are some shots of the painted wood. Also, it was getting a little dusky out, so I'll try to take some more tomorrow when the sun is brighter!
Please note the drain pipe and gutter which before were BROWN (ick) and are now a more appealing color!

i like the brick on your house. it gives it color and i think it matches the shutters nicely. good job!
