There's been no question throughout this election who my loyalties were to, but things don't always turn out the way you want them to, and now we are one day away from a new president of the United States. At first I way very bitter about this Obama guy being our Commander in Chief, lets be honest-I even wore all black the day after the horrible news because I was "mourning"...haha. However, something our minister said really struck a cord with me and now I'm seeing things in a new light. He basically said that God is bigger than any president, Wall Street, or politics. Something I obviously knew, but didn't really receive. Why should I be worried about politics or some man named Barack (who has muslim roots) when God was always in charge and still is who He is no matter what person may vacate the White House. He also said that as Christians we needed to show respect for Obama as God says to respect your leaders. This was very hard for me to swallow, as I had spent nearly the last four years listening to crude comments and jeers toward President Bush...I thought now it's my turn to lash out! However, I then thought how childish that is and how disrespectful I felt others were when I was on the other side.
What a monumental time in our history and I'm definitely going to soak it all in as I'm sure this will someday be an event to tell my children about. So, as tomorrow comes please say a prayer for our 44th president, Barack Obama and his family. Pray that he will make the right decisions and consult not only his cabinet, but the most important Commander in Chief-God!
Oh, but please don't think I will be buying the "Obama Coin" though anytime soon :)

I will rest assured knowing if he makes any really bad decisions that Almighty Zeus will smote him down. We should give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves us wrong.
Very well said Sarah. XOXO
