I am home now and want to decorate. Here are some of the things I will be working on...
I am not sure if these will replace the stockings I currently have or not, but I thought maybe I would hang them on the posts to our staircase with sprigs of dried stems and pheasant feathers sticking out the top!
I'm not actually doing this, because my stockings are on my mantle, but I like the rustic swag shown here.
This is my ultimate inspiration. I love the stick-like sprigs sticking out the top of the tree and the natural decor on the tree. This is the look I am shooting for!
I am also on a mission to put my tree in a basket this year, as I am horrified by tree skirts. No offense if your tree has a skirt, mine however, will NOT! hahaMany more ideas to come as my home is now "half" decorated and needing some major attention :)

any idea how expensive that basket will be? Iwas looking for one for winter jackets, gloves...etc and the one in the pottery barn, ouch, almost 200.
we never own a tree skirt, but have always use pretty draperies (still lifes for my paintings) and drape around the bottom of the tree, use one, or two, three layers of different designs to create depth!
