Student: Mrs. Wickersham I really still can't figure out how you got your hair to change colors like that.
Me: Don't worry, it will be back to normal in a few days.
Student: Oh darn, I really like it black!

Awesome right? haha...for those of you who don't know, I was trying to go back to my natural color this past week and hoping it would help out with the paleness factor I face each winter, as being someone who is against tanning almost more than I am Nancy Pelosi. However, this did not really work out. My hair turned a reddish orange and even when tried to color it again, didn't fare much better. If you know me at all, you know that I cannot stand red hair or the hint of red (on me that is, no offense red heads!) and so this was not a good sitch. I have cried every morning while getting ready because it truly is a shock to see yourself in such a different manor, as vain as that may sound. Luckily my stylist and friend, is dying it back to a dirty blonde and highlights tomorrow. Then I can once again feel like MYSELF and not this stranger I see in the mirror. Truly an experience I will be glad is soon over!

(Oh and P.S. of course I am not attaching a photo, duh! I would never be brave enough to document such a sight!)

Kids ALWAYS notice when we color our hair, etc! They always know when I've colored mine every time. I'm glad you are getting it fixed and get back to feeling better about your image in the mirror. xoxoxo
