For the girl who chews everything...

Sophie has a fetish, like I have one for Panera broccoli cheddar soup, so does she for chewing...particularly blankets/bedding/stuffed animals...anything with LOTS of stuffing that is soft on her teeth. Believe me, I've left her with bones a plenty and Kongs filled with tasty treats topped with peanut butter, but she doesn't seem to care, she'd rather un-stuff her pretty bed and chew the head off of Mr. Duck.

We're in a predicament because she actually chewed the bottom tray of her cage, cracking it in half, so now all she's left with is the bars to lay on. This makes me sad and I can't leave my puppy in such circumstances, but after shredding blankets and beds continuously, I'm worried for her safety of what all she's actually eating.
So tonight Howard and I ventured to Petsmart in search of a remedy, and what we came up with was Bitter Apple spray. It smells nasty and I've heard it works, but when we got home I sprayed it on a sock and she chewed on it as if it weren't drenched in nasty bitter apple-ness.
Does anyone have any recommendations for this jaws of a doggie we have?
