This is one of many updates that will come-because I have lots of pics and things to post about from this past weekend. But first, I figured I should let you all know about my NEW job! Yes, that's right, I finally have a job! I had those two interviews on Friday, which both went extremely well, but I ended up getting offered the preschool position and in turn taking it. While it's only a morning class right now, the principal thinks the numbers are going to jump again between January and February-so I could end up having an afternoon class as well, putting me at full time. However, the pay is a salary, I get benefits, and best of all my own classroom...and assistant! So even though it might not have been exactly what I had hoped for, not being full time at this point-I feel more than blessed and can't wait to meet my little kiddos. Of course, you know me, I've already begun to plan out my classroom and organize my things. The school is new and the classroom is HUGE and fabulous-I am the first teacher in the classroom, so I have to get everything ready, which will be a lot to do-but in the end better, so I can be very organized. I will keep you all posted, but thanks for all of your prayers and support-I truly am so excited to gain some experience and see where this takes me!

Oh YEA! You'll love it! Im so excited for you! I am in this same type of teaching and I absolutely love it. Sometimes I think I couldnt go back to an elementary school.. how exciting! I have tons of ideas if you ever need any!
Congratulations! A whole bunch of lucky kiddos are waiting for you. Wish we live closer so I can send Noel there. Our babysitter has been sick, so it's just us home for the last 2 weeks, we are driving each other crazy.
We're so excited for you and for all the kids that are about to have, "Mrs W." (I'm sure Wickersham is too much for them!) I can just imagine you getting all organized for them ~ this is your "thing". We can't wait to see you and Howie again when we are there for the swim meet, first weekend in Feb!
I've thought about doing a blog for our classroom but just never did it. i suppose it doesnt matter since im leaving! did you ever try the panera soup recipe? did it turn out??
I did try it and it wasn't that great-however, there is a food warehouse in Decatur which supplies Panera with their soups. My uncle bought an 8 lb. bag of the Broc. Cheddar for me-and it's fab!
