Oh Christmas Tree

Today we traveled to a Christmas tree farm near Batesville, the town where we were married, to pick out the perfect evergreen. It was freezing cold even with the rabbit fur hat, extra thick scarf, and Uggs-I could feel the chill all the way from head to toes. After walking all through the fields of trees to find just the right type (believe me there are lots of variety), we finally came across one that had already been pre-cut, saving Howard the labor of actually having to cut it down himself. After grabbing some hot chocolate, popcorn, and Sophie having her fun (which resulted in a bloody nose on her part. Yes, she decided it would be fun to pick up a branch with thorns on it, which sliced her poor little pink nose, resulting in some icky blood!) we finally headed home. The tree smells lovely and we decorated it with the few ornaments we have! I will have to take a picture during the day time when you can actually see it a bit better. (And we still have to get a tree topper and tree skirt...stay tuned!)
