The Adventures of Sophie

This morning 7:45-11:30, I subbed at one of the elementary schools in Carmel for third grade. I always love driving to work in the morning because I get to pass some fabulous cars. I swear, you don't see anything besides Audis, Volvos, Escalades, and the seemingly most favorite Range and Land Rovers. Well the reason being might be because the homes I drive by aren't any less shabby. With LOT prices coming in between $100,000 and $200,000-these homes (pictured above) are my favorite thing EVER, you honestly feel like you're peering into the TV set of Wysteria Lane, but sadly you won't find any of the ladies from Desperate Housewives around. Someday when we hit the jackpot, I plan to live there.

So when I got home after making a stop to purchase a new shirt for my INTERVIEW tomorrow !!, I took Sophie out immediately and she bolted down the hallway with her leash trailing behind. Now I usually don't let her do this, but during the daytime hours our apartment is like a ghost town. So she continued her descent down the staircase and all is looking well until the elevator opens on the first floor. Out darts a Labradoodle (pictured) that lives upstairs, toward her! She runs toward him too and then looses her footing on the tile floor and flies up against the wall where the other dog pins her. I think she just got scared and let out a yelp. She quickly ran to me and the owner of the other dog pulled his dog away. He felt terrible, but it was mainly my fault. The owner of the dog is a really sweet guy, and we talked a bit and decided they were probably just wanting to play. My heart was definitely racing though. Oh Sophie, she's always keeping my life full of excitement and suprises!
