Boo!

I don't really know why, since it's considered a demonic holiday, that I enjoy Halloween so much. I just think it's so fun to dress up, get scared, and any holiday that involves CANDY has got me right singing its praises. Well I hadn't even started thinking about Halloween quite yet, until my wonderful catalogues started showing up a few weeks ago.

In Grandinroad, they have focused a lot of their designs on over-the-top Halloween themed things for your home. Now some of them are a little much, but I think a few are rather festive! My favorite though, is the weimaraner dressed up in a pirate costume. I can just SEE Sophia in this, however I think she might find the hat a bit embarrasing. They also showcase these fabulous pumpkins that are right up my alley! They are a synthetic pumpkin that looks and feels real, but isn't! It can last for a long time and the best part of it all-no mess! I know this may not be in true Halloween spirit, but these are looking pretty chic and perhaps easier to carve. When we get our own home you better believe I will be purchasing several. (My personal favorite, in case you didn't already guess, is the monogrammed one on the second step from the bottom!) P.S. Also, no candles are used, eliminating the risk of a fire hazard. Who wants to set any poor kids costume a blaze?

Another store in the Halloween groove is Williams-Sonoma, we have one less than 5 minutes away at Keystone, but I try not to go there often or else I know our bank account would deplete to nearly zero. They have lots to offer in their Halloween section such as these adorable personalized totes for the candy collecters. Also featured are some lovely carmel apples, personalized cookies, ORANGE Kitchenaid accessories, skeleton aprons, and the list goes on. I just think it's all so great, such a fun and goofy holiday. I can't wait! (Too bad we live in an apartment and won't have any trick-or-treaters up here on the second floor, can we come over?)
