Cooking Up a Storm

So it was pretty much just the past weekend, but I'm already planning for the next one. We are going home to Illinois to see the family and we are having a cookout on Saturday. I already know that baked beans made by Dad (Howard's request) and deviled eggs made by Mom (my request) are going to be on the menu, but I'm trying to figure out what else to make. Auntie Jane got us some great cookbooks and I think I'm going to make the Philadelphia Cheesecake Brownies that she recommends. They look and sound pretty delish, with only a few ingredients needed...so I'm going to go with these for sure.

I'm still up in arms about my other side dish-but I'm thinking of making Mexican Chicken. There are some great recipes for it online, but I have to figure out what our main dish is first to make sure that it will flow. If it won't work, I'm thinking of some other sort of dip. Either way, I'm sure all tummies will be full and happy.

Sarah, don't forget the pumpkin bars with the CREAM CHEESE frosting as fall nears. They are so good this time of year. Have a good weekend.

Oh, I definitely could NOT forget about those! We were just talking about them the other day...I plan to make them very soon-I'm sure they won't be as good as yours though! XO
