Roller Coaster Ride

I feel as though this past week has been a roller coaster ride! Not the way I had thought my spring break would be...but we are happy nonetheless to have some movement with our home.

We still haven't heard back if they have "accepted" our offer yet, but we should sometime today! Eeks.

Also, there was a bit of drama with our home we were planning to put an offer on. It is a GREAT price and a GREAT location, but it needs some immediate work. Everything I could honestly live with minus the kitchen. It is a wreck and would need all new appliances, all new cabinets, etc. A complete fix up and to really, redesign the kitchen layout. We were planning on having that fixed and a few other things, by adding money to the mortgage we would have(it's called a construction/reno ammendment)...however, when I talked to a loan agent yesterday she said that could be done, but that you had to put 20% down and go through a lot of jazz getting bids to show all of the work you would need to do. Well 20% of the entire loan would be roughly $48,000! Of course we have that just sitting in the bank! So that is not an option anymore...disappointing because it really would be a great place, but then once again we would be fixing up, when we are ready to just RELAX. So, we were all over the online listings looking for other properties and driving around all evening...we found one that looks promising and I found another this morning. SO, hopefully when we go see them tonight, one will be the perfect fit! They both have HUGE yards that are fenced and lots of square footage. We are really looking to stay in this home for the next 5 or so years, so we need some space to spread out in. After all of this drama with selling our house, we are ready to CLOSE that chapter in our lives for quite some time! We may NEVER MOVE AGAIN...haha doubtful, but that is our mindset right now.

I was up halfway through the night tossing and turning, WORRYING (I wonder where I get that from? Definitely the Roberts side of the family)...and then I remembered that God is control and that He will do the worrying for me. I quickly fell asleep and woke up renewed. Amen.

Updates to come...
