I recently decided I didn't really care for the counter height table we purchased a bit ago from World Market. I really like the table in general, but it just didn't look right in our space. Actually Howard said so from the get go, but I tried not to hear him, haha. After some stewing and staring, I was really not liking it and how it didn't really fit with our style. It also cut our kitchen window in half, because it was so tall. I wanted something a bit smaller to kind of tuck under the window more, and be more quaint, as opposed to monstrosity. I found this darling table in Ballard Designs (probably my favorite catalogue) and just purchased it, after we sold our table on Craigs List, of course! This is the smallest version of the table in the picture, so the one we purchased is much larger, but it comes with the table, jute fringed table cloth, and a glass protective top.
I am now scouring the web and will be going to some antique stores to look for two chairs to possibly paint and recover the cushions, to go with it. Something sort of like the chairs below, from Pottery Barn. I don't like the wicker seat though, I am hoping for a fabric seat, that I can recover with a fun fabric in a punch of yellow or green to go with my kitchen colors.
