Not much is new in our lives, however last night we scored some free tickets (originally priced $116 each) to a pre season Pacers game from Howard's work right down on the floor. It was a new experience for me since I haven't ever been to an NBA game before. However, the Pacers were pretty boring...I just feel like basketball isn't what it used to be, say in the days of Jordan. Also, I was a bit disgusted by the "Pace Mates", the Pacers dance/cheer team, I wanted to cover the little girls eyes who was sitting right in front of me due to the fact that these Pace Mates were out in skimpy outfitts, whipping their hair all around, and rolling on the floor making inappropriate moves which I will not share the details of. Ew, is all I can say. Basketball is a family sport, not a trip to the strip club, which is where they would fit better.
My favorite part of the evening was when they did the kiss camera on the jumbo screen during a time out of the game. It reminded me of the movie 'How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days' when they are at the Nicks game and they get caught by the screen and are forced to kiss. It was hillarious watching people last night on this thing-there were a few couples who weren't paying attention and everyone was screaming and making a ton of noise until they would finally realize...it was a hoot. There were also two people who happened to be sitting by each other but weren't a couple, but the camera still zoomed to them, and the man had to mouth "we're not together". Everyone was laughing. It truly was the highlight of the evening...what can I say, I'm not much for basketball! haha.
