Today isn't Tuesday...it's Saturday!

Today at school was a very special day for the youngsters and for the adults as well...Jeff Saturday of the Indianapolis Colts came to visit our school! For those of you who don't know, he is a center and hikes the ball to Peyton Manning in the big time football games...how cool is it that we had a superbowl champ walk the halls of our school? He walked right past me and the kid next to me gave him a high five and he said, "I WILL NEVER WASH THIS HAND AGAIN!" haha...The whole school was decked out in Colts gear and I'll even admit, I broke down last night and picked up a shirt bearing the Colts name. Howard convinced me that I would be the only one not in Colts attire and that I had better get with the program or I would feel really silly come today-and I'm glad I listened to him, because there wasn't one teacher that didn't have on a jersey, shirt, etc. Mr. Saturday spoke on health, how to say no to drugs, and gave the kids an inside scoop on his daily life as a "Colt". It was a very fun thing for our school and I'm glad I was able to be a part of all of the excitement!

One of my favorite first grade teachers that I work with had the cutest door decor, so I had to snap a picture of the class as they posed in front of it. GO COLTS? (Ok, I'm not totally converted, but living in Indy now-I think I'm close to rooting for the home team.)
