Today I enjoyed another day of my spring break by of course starting the day off with a gooey cinnamon roll and hanging out with Martha for another episode of cupcake week. Then I realized I should perhaps, get out of the house for a bit?! I thought since it was sunny out that it might be a bit warmer, but the truth is it was really only 45 degrees and very windy, but I figured it was time to introduce Oliver to our favorite park-so we pressed on. I only wish Howard or someone could have been there for the next hillarious happening. One of Sophie's favorite things to do is to get out of the car and anxiously wait for me to unhook her from the leash so she can bolt to the pond and chase away the ducks surrounding...well of course, we did this yesterday as well, except for what was different? It was Oliver's first turn to bolt to the pond with Sophie! He followed closely behind, but as she quickly stopped along the waters edge, Oliver's moves aren't quite so graceful yet and...you guessed it, into the water he went! It seemed as though it all happened in slow motion and I was wondering, oh gosh am I going to have to go in after him? I mean he literally went all the way under and came up paddling and quickly came back to shore. He was soaking wet, but I hadn't brought a towel, of course not planning that anyone would be taking a dip-but he just kept running around and dried off! Still when I think back about this I can't help but laugh out loud, he is just such a hillarious little guy.
When we got home they enjoyed some sunning while I began some spring cleaning and then their happiness ended when I lined them up for baths! They have really been attached lately and it's so darling. Also, Oliver is pretty much potty trained-he has now learned to "scratch" at the back door when he needs to go out. I'm so impressed. I love our little brother & sister duo, how sweet are they in this picture?

I have missed the blog, since I've been unable to get onto my laptop until Mike played with our router. What a fun day @ the park! I would love to have watched the two of them--I was laughing all the way though your recounting of the day.
Oh no, not Uncle Mike playing with the router? He wouldn't do such a thing...haha
