First Mow!

Howard has been itching to try out his mower for the "first mow" of the season the past few days. However, I've been keeping him busy with other projects around the house, so he was finally able to get out there today...boy was he excited. Here he is on his mower!

We have also HAD IT with our current flooring situation, I mean I'm not complaining, both the burbur (sp?) and other carpeting are liveable, just outdated and questionable. Questionable I say, because in our family room there are just tons of tracking stains and they previously had a pet, just leaving me to want my OWN flooring to sink my feet into. Also, with having two big dogs it is more allergen friendly to this asthmatic to have hardwood flooring throughout most of the home. We went to a flooring store here in town to look at samples and brought a few home. On the left is the wood we plan to do in most all of the house (family room, kitchen, dining room, entry, and hallway) and then the frieze (which I love thanks to your house Aunt Kim!) will be in the living room, and three bedrooms. Someone is coming out to measure and then give us a quote. I can't wait for this lovely change to occur! (Oh, and of course I'm sure you enjoy that Sophie had to test out the carpet sample in the picture below, she just loves to be photographed.)
