Last night was the annual Idol Gives Back and it was really wonderful. Some of my favorite moments were...
Miley Cyrus and Billy Crystal...this was very funny and Miley sung not once, but twice! She did a great job and is really starting to look a lot older, not like little Hannah Montana anymore...
Then there was the hillarious, Teri Hatcher, who performed Carrie Underwoods song, Before He Cheats. I was proud of her for having the courage to take on the song. She actually did a pretty nice job singing and the whole intro to it with her TV husband, Mike, was so fun too.
Robin Williams was on the show as the Russian winner of American Idol...absolutely hillarious. Howard was laughing so hard and it was great to see him back on TV. I also LOVED the beginning song and performance of the 8 remaining Idols and the winners of last year's So You Think You Can Dance? It was truly jaw dropping and really fabulous.
The show closed with an awesome testament to the Lord when the remaining 8 sang, Shout To The Lord. Howard and I could hardly believe that they were singing this on national television in front of 70 million viewers...we thought, there is still hope! It was truly a blessing and I hope it touched many lives. I have added the YouTube video below in case you missed it. The quality isn't the greatest. Also, it was kind of odd how Ben Stiller closed the show after the beautiful song was over...it kind of put a damper on things-but I chose to just ignore it. I wish they would have just ended it with the song...but, oh well! It was a great event, with a great message, for a great cause-Well done American Idol!

Oh my gosh I completely forgot about it and I wasn't home to watch it! This makes me so mad! Let's just hope that I had enough sense to DVR it.
And that is so cool that they sang Shout to the Lord. Who would have ever thought...THAT show especially. Love it.
