This weekend moved rather slow, which was a good thing!
On Friday night, Howard and I ended up eating out at PF Changs which is always exciting since it is probably our favorite place ever. We just enjoyed a relaxing night in with the dogs...are we old or what?!
Saturday, Howard ended up going to Columbus, Indiana to help re-build a home which was completely damaged from the floods. The house had been gutted and he was helping to put drywall up and make other repairs. Their hospital was even flooded, so they are bringing one from FEMA to the town, which was used during Hurricane Katrina. It is so crazy to think such damage has happend so close to our home. The families continue to be in our prayers.
And today, we were happy to get to visit our church again and hit up the mall afterward. It has been fun with Howard starting his new sales rep position because he gets to dress up each day, so you can imagine the fun I've had helping him pick out snazzy new outfitts. We ate out for lunch, then ran to my favorite place, The Fresh Market, to grab a few things and then finally made it home!
We ended our afternoon by walking the dogs to Bub's to check out the Dog Day Afternoon which was happening right downtown. Once we got downtown all of the shop owners were passing out treats, had water for the dogs, and had window displays relating to dogs. And of course, there were dogs EVERYWHERE. The event was wrapping up, but we were able to catch a few things and score free treats. Of course we couldn't walk all that way without getting ice cream from Bub's, and luckily walked quickly enough home to beat the storm! The dogs are worn out and so are we. I think we will get rested up for Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend too.
