Moving Back In

I've been sitting like a good boy all day in my bed watching Mommy and Daddy work....

When will they ever be done so that they can play with me again?

Poor Ollie and Sophie, we were quite the busy bee's this weekend trying to finish up our living room project and they looked a little bored sitting on their beds watching our every move. However, they did get to walk all the way to Bub's and get ice cream on Saturday night and I even shared the last few drops of my sherbert with them :)

I'm very pleased to say that, for the most part our room is DONE! Things still to do are: Adding a recessed light over the bookshelf, putting in a fan, and adding crown molding to the room (you can tell where it should be in the room especially if you look closely to the fireplace). But, those aren't HUGE things, so I'm pretty happy that the end is in sight!

Here we are taking a break from the work by eating a nice lunch outside on the back porch...however, the dogs still seemed to think it was pretty hot!

New curtains! Good-bye to the old horrid vertical blinds...so 80's!

A fun mirror I found at Target on clearance, originally near $60 and I got it for $12! It was very dinged and scratched up on the wood, so I sprayed it black!

Aunt Kim, do you recognize this lamp? We gave it a makeover by spraying it black!

Now at least we have one room in the house that reflects our true style and how we envision our home to look. On to the next project we go!
