Here is Oliver looking out the window, waiting for some weekend visitors to arrive...
This weekend my parents came up to visit and had quite the time getting here (more storms), but managed to arrive safely! On Friday night, we went out to Red Robin just down the road and relaxed...watch out for the chilli though, according to my Dad it is rather rough on the tummy!
Saturday morning we went to Bub's Cafe for breakfast and enjoyed a nice big breakfast! It is such a charming little restaurant, an old house renovated into a quaint cafe! Kath wanted to take this picture because she thought Uncle Mike could add these to his salt & pepper shaker collection!
Then we ventured over to Lowe's, our usual Saturday hangout, and got the items needed to start our bookshelf renovation project for the weekend. Soon, the guys were on their way to ripping out the horrid countertop and wet bar...check out the before, below.
Once the sink and counter were ripped out the existing shelving was ripped out as well and Howard had to sand the walls and replaster them before I could re-paint. It was quite the process...a dusty one too!
On Saturday night Howard Sr. and Cathy came up and we all went down to Broad Ripple for dinner at the Naked Tchopstix restaurant. It was pretty yummy, minus the bad waiter...he was new and absolutely clueless. The atmosphere was neat and I'm sure we'll be back since it was Japanese style cooking, which of course is my favorite. Here are the couples... And today we continued our work, which didn't get completed, but Howard will continue to labor away on it until it's done! I'll post pictures when it's all finished!
Also, of course the dogs enjoyed having company around and getting extra attention. Here are some photos...
Here is Grandma Kath getting attacked with licks by Soph and Ollie!

Good job Sarah. It was nice traveling home in clear, sunny weather! Miss you guys!!
XOXOXO
Wish we could have been there to enjoy the weekend bash. . . and to see the newly renovated pad. From the tid bits it looked amazing. You need 3 or 4 kids to occupy your time ~ then you can start projects and wait 6-12 months, sometimes longer to get back to them. ha
Miss you four-
The Roberts 5 (or should I say "6")
aw you guys are too cute :)
Wow, looks like the hardwood floor is done! I admire how you put up with the dust...the guys are doing a great job!
By the way, so jealous of all the restaurants - i miss going out to eat, and pray noel will one day outgrow her allergy and she can enjoy eating out!!!
oh, that email, noel typed it for you ( i spelled it out of course)
I am roaring over those salt & pepper shakers!!!!!!! DO NOT add them to Mike's collection, please. You all must start your very own collection. Thank you for thinking of him though--and also for remembering that was another life :). Can't wait for a trip to Indy!
Love you!
