It cracks me up to remember Gram calling me a 'little dickens' as a child, until she found out that it really meant 'devil'...she soon stopped and felt horribly! I think that's the funniest story ever and can still remember her finding out what it really meant.
But, the years have passed and the word dickens has not left my personal dictionary and I find it very fitting of my two dogs and their behaviors lately. Perhaps I left the stress of my special education classroom in the dust, but these dogs are right up there with my toughest autistic tornado! Whew...
It has been so hot out that they don't even want to go outside to play and can barely make it through walks without becoming a panting mess-so needless to say, they have been cooped up inside with lots of energy and even more mischief to get into.
Oliver has found lots of "fun" things to do such as: going through the garbage cans (his favorite thing to find are empty toilet paper rolls), pull down Kleenex boxes and shred the contents, and chew on new trim. What a gem!
I swear to you, when Oliver is up to no good, Sophie will honestly seek me out and bump me or look at me nervously to let me know of his naughty acts. Each time she comes to me, I go find him and find a mess. Is she smart or what? I'm still amazed that she was able to figure out how to communicate this to me.
As much as they get under my skin, they are my babies and I adore them. As we speak Howard is taking them on a run...worn out dogs perhaps? I CAN ONLY PRAY.

What a cute story! I'm glad Howie was able to take the dogs out for a run. I bet they would enjoy a run through the sprinkler!
