TGIF

Today was another crazy day to wrap up my week-but a good crazy, I'm really enjoying what I'm doing and getting excited about what's to come. Everyone in my school is SO wonderful and has been so great to me. So many teachers have come by and brought me books, dollhouses, clothing-you name it-so gracious. The other two preschool teachers are so sweet to me and already pals...they both call themselves "Divas", I feel I will soon fit in :) And the speech teachers are young and fun too. Whew, how the Lord has blessed me with amazing people.

I had my first conference today with a student I will have starting next week and he was quite the cutie. I also snagged three more students this afternoon and have some to screen/test next week. They just keep coming in and that's OK! I just keep praying for kids (not of my own of course, but for my classroom)!

I worked really hard today, again getting things in order-laminating, di-cutting, taping, cutting, arranging-you name it. It is kind of nice to have a break from the place for a few days and to get out of the teacher mindset. By nature, I have a rather creative mind, so you can only imagine how it spins when I'm in a classroom of white walls-Oh, the ideas I have!

Anyways, I'm sure I've bored you enough with my teacher talk, but I promise more exciting posts are near to come. For instance, Sophie is having a play date tomorrow with a very handsome Weim, Oakley, and next weekend my friends are coming up to stay for a wedding dress shopping spree! But for now, here's to enjoying a Friday night in PJs! Howard and I are so cool.

We're so happy for you Sarah! I think it's great you have a had chance to meet your co-workers and get settled into your classroom, before the kids arrive. Anxious to hear all about your days to come as a teacher!!
Love U, Mom

Congratulations on "surviving" the first week of school! Never too much teacher talk for me, although I respect that you can handle so many little ones, Noel is going thr a horrible terrible two and I cannot imagine facing more than one preschooler. On the good side, my "big kids" at EIU don't seem so bad anymore...
